If it’s a static page I think those fonts can be squeezed a bit more ;) Great job though. There’s quite a lot of imagery, but the prioritization and size looks right to me

I tried using subfont on some other (more static) sites but the yak-shaving at the command line was beyond me, I’m afraid. My laptop gave up somewhere around “pip”—any chance of a step-by-step tutorial on getting subfont set up? The README was a bit owl-drawy.

I should give the readme a makeover. If google fonts are used it will actually use their service to create the subsets, so you won’t have to have locally installed fonttools. I’d really love to be able to kill that external dependency

I definitely don’t want to use Google Fonts (for performance and previous reasons) so anything to help out with subsetting self-hosted fonts would be much appreciated.
