well if you have infinite resources and want a 100% optimized experience for the form factor…..sure (then again at that point you’d have a native app team too)

Been having a similar discussion at work. The problem is that most people think that mobile first starts at the UI design point, not the content point. So they start cramming desktop amounts of content in a mobile UI.

The client and biz-driven desire was usually (and is still) strong for heavy, desktop-first design, which we then “smush down” for the mobile experience. Even the biggest teams, who you’d assume have infinite resources, usually do not 😉
