Ordinarily it’s a sign of bad luck, but given the times we now live in, I doubt it’ll make much difference 😭
January 11th, 2021
Working out of my living room means anyone on a video call with me can see that the Christmas tree is still up.
If someone mentions it, I ask if they’re with the Christmas Police (because if they are, they have to tell me—that’s the law).
Oh! Thanks for the reminder. Wait — are those sirens I hear? Too late. Crap.
Me and my wife kept the tree up until Easter the first year we were married because we enjoyed having festive lights in the room, and then it almost become a tradition because we are lazy 😄
Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Christmas lasts until Epiphany on January 19. And you don’t want to mess with the Byzantine Christmas Inquisition.
Still got mine up too, I’ll give you a heads up if we get raided by the Christmas Police
🎶On the 245th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… 🎶
We leave it up as long as possible. 😄
We only put ours up on Xmas Eve (v late). I think we’ll leave it up until Candlemas, if it lasts OK. :-)
Ours is still up. I kind of feel like if you’re going to end its life prematurely you might as well make it last as long as it stays green.
Lol! I just took mine down this past weekend. One year I left it up until March 😅
My plan was at least an extra month or two of Christmas. Jan and Feb are bleak enough without a lockdown. I need the extra sparkles and sugar.
