Also…the BBC?
Next challenge:
Go to the @IEEEorg website and find our what the letters IEEE stand for: https://www.ieee.org/
(Again, it’s easy to find this out beyond the site, but can you find the answer just from their own website? I couldn’t.)
Also…the BBC?
Ooh, good one! I was actually able to find the fully expanded term …in a PDF …three levels deep. adactio.com/notes/19284
It’s actually in the terms as well, but still crazy yeah
I took a peek at the “About Us” section. Nothing in there. PDFs. Don’t get me started. 🤦
Yes, I did. Found it in less than a minute. Visited their About section, and selected History of IEEE. Found in the third paragraph.
Yeah, no joy. Maybe it’s a clever ploy to make us read everything on the site? Anyway, they obviously expect everyone to already know so they’re snobs and I want no part of it.
Oops, I meant this reply for the Bima challenge. But it works the IEEE too.
Nicely done! Your methodical approach worked better than my scattershot searching! adactio.com/notes/19286
I found that site awkward to navigation because it seem that they buried it somewhere!
It’s Internet Explorer Explorer Explorer, isn’t it?
Probably my library and research background, Jeremy. And a bit of luck on a Monday morning. I’m always drawn to About pages or About sections. I love learning about the background of people and history of organizations.
You’re right, but as always, we can rely on wikipedia for the answer, and an explanation.
Found it: ieee.org/about/help/bus…
