You’re asking me to name a browser that literally can’t exist because it’s not allowed to exist.

How can a browser for iOS perform better or worse than Safari if no other browsers are allowed on iOS?

Are you angry at Apple that they allow Google’s web browser to be installed on their macOS devices?

If not, why not?

I would love it if the app store rules banned any browser that performed worse than Safari.

But they don’t.

They ban any browser, full stop.

Opera, Edge and all the others Blink-based apps on Windows/macOS are skinned versions of Chromium.

(I agree that the skin can include important user-facing features.)

How does limiting web access to one browser give the web special attention other than in a negative sense?

Can you honestly not conceive that a browser other than Safari could be better for performance and features?

Are you honestly saying that browsers are the only kind of apps that can be bad for battery life? (and therefore it’s reasonable to ban them …but not other apps)

Then why don’t the app store rules ban battery-draining apps instead of specifically banning web browsers?
